Our list of confirmed contacts is growing! Below is some information
about the project:
BACKGROUND
At the ten-year reunion of the W.T. Woodson Class of 1988, eleven Pine
Ridge alumni congregated for reminiscing and a group photo.
Classmates Gretchen Kraft and Diana Waldron agreed to pursue a larger
gathering of Pine Ridge GT classmates, including those who went on to
different high schools and junior highs.
POSSIBILITIES
We have a few possibilities in mind, including a physical reunion
and/or an e-mail newsletter to share information with one another.
What happens will depend largely on time we have available and
assistance we receive from others. At a minimum, we hope to locate
most if not all classmates and connect them via e-mail.
WHO IS INVOLVED?
At this time, Gretchen and Diana are handling this project. We hope
to include classmates from the following classes:
- Mrs. Van Vliet's 3rd grade (1978-9)
- Mrs. Hansen's 4th grade (1979-80)
- Miss Ray's 4th grade (1979-80)
- Mrs. Shaffner's 5th grade (1980-1)
- Mrs. Purcell's 5th grade (1980-1)
- Mrs. Shaffner's 6th grade (1981-2)
- Mrs. Hansen's 6th grade (1981-2)

We only have yearbooks from 5th and 6th grades. We need help getting
students' names from the 3rd and 4th grades so we can include
students who changed schools by 5th grade (see WHO IS INVOLVED, above,
for teacher names and class years). If you have a 3rd or 4th grade
yearbook, please let me know so we can get any names we missed. Also,
if you notice a name missing, please let me know.

haven't located. Any leads you have would be appreciated. If you
would like to help in other ways, here are some ideas: donation of
web page space or design services for the project; assistance with
locating services; conducting and writing interviews with classmates;
scanning photographs; or service on a reunion committee. If you think
of other ways you can help, let us know!
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
For a number of reasons. Nostalgia is a big one. We got a terrific
education and had a lot of fun. I'd like to meet up with the people
who shared those years. Curiosity is another reason. I know we will
be amazed to see the exciting and varied paths our lives have taken
from that common starting point. And, despite those differences, I
think we'll find we still have a lot in common. We may even rekindle
some old friendships or embark on some new ones. Who knows? I bet it
will be fun!
